Cheers bud really chuffed with it for Ł399 all in
I got touch up paint and a pair of carbon gtr small stickers and a full size front plate on the way to cover it up for now, I think it's gonna need painting though for me to be happy with it

20% more through a cobb upgrade. andmidpipe swop out. It sounds better and goes a bit quicker than standard. thats all i need for now. The plate,s here in OZ are really cheep that one AKJ was equivelent to just 250 quid.
She looks a bit diferent now. its had some plasti-dip done on it. The MRs wanted something that is a little out of the ordinary.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Front-Bumper-Grille-Center-Cover-for-2009-2012-NISSAN-GT-R-R35-GTR-/151535485573?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2348380285&vxp=mtr

it appears that whole piece must be removable from the bumper so I could fit a carbon one maybe

Looks really good on the plate. It says that carbon piece is a cover, so it probably just sticks over the top.

I couldn't be arsed with all paint damage on my car, im flat out at work rebuilding machines so time is scarce as usual.
so Ive had to just fit 2 full size number plates so the car is tidy again.

it actually looks better than I thought it would on the full size plates though so no probs really, the rear plate looks better than the small one as it looked a bit lost in that massive hole lol

Have hardly used the car at all still haven't seen Pod with it yet

Just been so busy since Christmas I have bought 6 used Dozers and fitted trimble full auto control to four of them expanding our business, it's going great I cant complain but 7 day working weeks for months on end does get abit tough after a while! I'm so mad for it I considered selling the gtr to use the funds to buy a dumptruck buy thought better of it I've now sold my rental property and am going to buy 3 used dumptrucks with the money

But the gtr went straight through mot in may, and on the odd occasion I've used it it has still been faultless unlike any other car I've had on this level which was pretty much constantly broken as many of you already know lol

Our third child is due this Friday Aswell and it's harvest time, madness lol

we gave the gtr its first service last week, 10w60 milers nanotech as used by svm, I thought oil pressure was good previously at 200 kpa idle, 650 kpa flat out, well its now running 250 kpa idle, 800 kpa flat out !

I can only assume the old oil was very fuel diluted and had thinned out abit, had done about 4500 miles on the old oil roughly.

the car hadn't been used for months just had trickle charger on, started straight up, one tyre was a little low and that was it, runs and drives perfect warmed up and given a good caining, perfect. still doesn't cease to amaze me this car after 2 years of ownership

More regular oil changes on the cards then

Probably a bit OTT but do the saff's oil every year , so its oil only gets 900 to 1100ish miles old

Depends...lots of short journeys where a lot of condensation could build up, changing yearly might make sense.

But if actually used when used, just low mileage....good modern oils will easily last 10k in a high performance engine without a worry

Changing at 1k just for the sake of it is actually just stupid.

The first issue has just reared its head today with the car, after the Audi issues I thought I'd better get it out and go for a blast and make sure it's ok, it's all still perfect except if I hit 6500 rpm full acceleration it cuts ignition and then it's down to 5 cylinders, just stop and start and it's perfect again, if I accelerate at half throttle it hits 7200 rpm and just auto shifts, I think it's just a syvecs issue need to get Ryan out to check it out.

datalog it and see why it's shutting down or what it's doing when it occurs.

The only reason it would ever shut individual cylinders down is if the knock control thinks its hearing something excessive.

Cant comment on gearchange stuff though.

I did get a laptop and a cable but that's as far as I got lol
It would make sense with knock sensor as its only doing it under full load full throttle, ease back on throttle and it's fine, but I was only playing about at 1 bar of boost and it seems consistent 6000 rpm hard cut then either down on 5 or just in some sort of limp mode, whatever it is it runs real rough bag of spanners

When it shuts down cylinders after what is perceived to be a serious series of knock events, as far as I recall it shuts down the relevant cylinders until you cycle power off/on again.

That is the only feature I'm aware of that will actually do that. As to what has changed that may be causing that to happen is another matter. ( and I say perceived, as all knock sensors do is listen to noise, how that noise is interpreted depends on how the ecu is configured, so it doesnt necessarily mean there is or has been detonation )

All other safety features or trips will just enforce a reduced rpm/throttle opening, but normal engine operation aside from that.

I'm just gonna leave it to syvecs guy to sort it, I havnt got time to be messing with cars anymore the 2 businesses take all my time and some, there's also a load of updates now since Ryan built and mapped the car so they. An all go in aswell while it's being sorted

Ryan has moved abroad now so Romain looking after me now, I downloaded software to my laptop and got some datalogs to send him, I had a look actually easy to use nice simple layout with the syvecs s8. It's showing pre ignition on cyl 5 and going into limp only under heavy load.

The Syvecs/Life logging and software is superb.

To 100% confirm whether there is any detonation or not, you'd need to try either pulling some timing on that cylinder or actually listening, just in case the thresholds just need adjusted.

Or there could be an actual problem, maybe an injector/wiring issue or something on that cylinder.

Until someone can actually check it out though best to take it easy.

I've managed to sneak plug no 5 out, plenty of fuel in there the plug is totally carbon fouled, I'm gonna fit new plugs first and try it, if that doesn't cure it il get Romain out to dig deeper

Ive changed the plugs, had the fuel filters changed including fuel socks in tank which were blocked, she now runs perfect again but still hits limp mode under high load high gears.
its took me all this time to get that far due to work ! Lol
So I'm now just going to take the car to mgt and get the injectors tested, I think the ethanol I've been running has caused problems with shit going round the system, need to get the car sorted and run at santa pod I've had it 4 years and still not done it ffs lol

leaving ethanol in the car when it isnt being driven isnt a great idea.

Getting the injectors tested/cleaned would be a good idea.

Exactly which limp is tripping ? the same one ?
