this is 1 bar waft mode lazy early shifts, at 1.5 bar in race mode its a different animal again, il have to get the missus filming again and do a launch soon
cheers its ticking all the boxes so far, had 10 month old behind me, 5 year old next to me and the missus behind 5 year old and we were all quite comfy no complaints from any of the family so were all good they love it bonus
well not cheap, full set of r888s retail Ł1700 but can get them for Ł1300 with gtroc discount, front discs about Ł800 each thankfully tyres and discs have done 1-2 k miles so loads of life left.
engine, turbos and clutch have done 3k miles, transmission about 1500 miles since full svm gear treatment if im sensible it should be reliable for a while lol
it is the best sounding car ive ever had no question imo, me and dad run 7 cat d8s and 8 cat d6s with just me and my apprentice to rebuild/maintain them, I do as much as I can in house to keep labour costs down welding, engine builds, turbo rebuilds, cross shaft and final drive rebuilds, ram rebuilds, all manor of hydraulic hoseing and converting, but do still have an ex cat technician who builds our transmissions and cylinder heads and a few bits and pieces hes a great guy a wealth of knowledge and helps me out when im unsure on something without question.
when our newest d6r is a 2001 and our oldest d8h is a 1972 you can imagine the workload can get hectic especially harvest time when we also have a 320 acre farm to harvest, work the land and drill aswell
I fookin love it but it is hard work ive done 7 days again this week as were nearly out of machines !

thanks lads im glad you like it
ive only just noticed if you listen hard when it shifts into second you can hear the r888s chirp lol, which is suprising at just 1 bar of boost !

I like it....i am sure you said right car and wrong time so wouldn't buy it.....man maths cut in eh? Like it, mad speed. My friend sold his merc dealerships for quite a few quid and bought one of these as a toy which was his first purchase. That was pretty std and he said way quicker than his c63 AMG.

I work hard and play a tiny bit then work again lmao
I did say wrong time mate I broke my rule of if I cant afford it twice over straight out of my personal back pocket (no company money allowed) then I cant afford it. but its such a car and I could afford it just not twice over and thought fook it I want it and im having it lol
ever since seeing rods stats all them years ago ive strived to have a car that could match them stats from all those years ago and now I finally have one

ive done an overlay plot of the r33 and the r35, the r33 start is really good but it was a clutch slipping build boost pull away compared to just clicking the r35 in drive and throttleing it in waft mode lol
using launch control there should be a good half a second or more to come off the r35s time.

it sure is mate they are seamless
also I have now found out in normal mode when I did that run it shifts at 6800 rpm, in race mode it shifts 80ms quicker and shift rpm is upto 7400 rpm, that coupled with a launch even on pump fuel at 1.5 bar will im sure bring the 5 - 130 mph into the 7 seconds bracket
imagine if id had a launch equal to the r33 I think that would already put it at 7.9 seconds 5 - 130 mph
then theres another 130 hp with e50 in the tank and 1.75 bar of boost.
v power is actually like an e10 anyway as it has 10% ethanol in it, im now running just v power and my ethanol gauge shows 10% always

the only little annoyance ive had with the car is on the biggest of speed bumps I get a little scrape of the exhaust from the back.
so I had a look from under the back and then realised why
the exhaust is massive and with the car being quite low I guess there is just nowhere for it to go lol has a carbon undertray under there aswell which is a bonus.
if I take it steady it should be fine its only a very light scrape on the biggest of the speed bumps, il just have to live with it.

I nearly forgot ive also got an exact tune comparison on dyno dynamics and dynapack
both these runs are 1.4 bar boost raising to 1.6 bar up top v power only and the tune I did my v box pulls in
you know me and dyno plots lol, at least now a good comparison dyno dynamics plot is flywheel power, dynapack is hub power, the hp is only 28 hp down on the hubs but torque is about 100lbft down, so as a guide add 100 lbft, 28 hp to hub figures to get flywheel figures from this comparison, that dyno dynamics is surrey rolling road and regarded as accurate figures.
the aborted 800lbft run was running 1.6-1.7 bar boost and lost traction on the dyno ! that's my worry with the ethanol map it runs 1.6 bar down low and will make monumental torque, I fear for the gearboxes life

the was an issue with the rpm sync on the dyno dynamics run, the limiter was hit at 7150 rpm on the scale but the true rpm was 7450.
so if im right in what im thinking the dyno measured 620 lbft of torque at 7150 rpm, that is then divided by 5252 then times the true rpm of 7450 rpm which is then what the dyno shows as hp.
so with the rpm in sync the dyno should of measured 879 flywheel hp
the sun is beaming and wanted to get her out today but I have a stack of Budweiser and a bbg to do so best hide my keys from myself today lol

When watching the building the new skyline I love the way the chief engineer says when other manufacturers make a sports car they make it small and light. Then says are engineers see that as ameture lol

D6H lgp had 1 piston and liner and new head.
and D8K had complete retrack, I gotta sort the diesel pump out next its dumping diesel very slowly into the engine im hopeing a new set of pumps will cure it
I can actually say 100% it is quick enough and I finally don't feel the need for more power lmao

I had a couple of cheeky pulls up my private road, and because id had a few drinks I totally forgot about the tracker lol, I hadn't been more than 30 seconds and I got a phone call from cobra to inform me my vehicle is being used without track recognision, at least its proved it works I guess lol

titanium is much rarer than common old black mate lol
seriously though I wasn't to bothered about colour the only one I really didn't want was silver as they are really common, having said that though if ryan gs car had been silver I think I still would of bought it due to the spec list.
I love the colour and the cream interior its gonna be a pig to keep clean but its really nice and very rare, I havnt seen any titanium colour or cream interior gtrs for sale, maybe not as sought after as black but still rare and I love it
i shall get a 30 - 130 mph graph in race mode at full tilt soon on e50, im sure that will interest you way more than those pics
