cossie water temp sensor plug

Right the one on mine is cracked and a week ago the car ran like shit and eventually worked out (cheers brad) that it was cos it was cracked it had come loose off the sensor. Can you get replacement plugs for them?! remember a post ages back about being able to get them from somewhere!!!

Also if poss still blue to match the original, but aint essential as having it working properly is more important

Cheers ladies :top:

3drstretch 27-03-2005 12:33 PM

Can get them from Halfrauds mate.Intermotor Part. :top: :top: :top:

DazC 27-03-2005 12:44 PM

The plugs are readily available in black from vehicle wiring products.

The blue ones are a bit (ok, a lot) more difficult to get hold of! ;)

Toe Knee 27-03-2005 12:46 PM

Really?! cheers stretch/daz

Doesnt really have to be blue as long as it works cos i know where it goes lol, is there a tech name for them so i can look like i know what im talkin about?!

3drstretch 27-03-2005 12:58 PM

Yes it is a Coolant sensor for a Cosworth. :blabla: :blabla: :blabla:

And the intermotor one is blue. ;) ;)

DazC 27-03-2005 01:25 PM

It's called a Junior Power Timer 2 way socket...or Junior Timer. I can't remember which one is which.

Westy 27-03-2005 01:52 PM

halfords are special order, as we have been to 2 today

DazC 27-03-2005 01:59 PM

I didn't even think Halfords sold wiring consumables apart from insulation tape and insulated spade/bullet connectors etc?

Westy 27-03-2005 02:01 PM

chap behind the counter at the first halfords, said they stock some, then went on computer and checked for Esc cos, and said Fords...

so we tried another one, local.. and the chap said he coul get one in, but would be special..

Need one ASAP tho :(

DazC 27-03-2005 02:06 PM

You are on about the plastic plug that is crimped onto the wiring that plugs onto the sensor and not the sensor itself, aren't you?

I only know auto electrical stores sell them. Not accessory shops...

go to a scrappy and you will find that some ford brake resevoir level plugs are the right ones, the one I got for my old saph was also blue, try late sierras, granadas and I think fiesta's, due to there position in the engine bay they are usually in very good nick aswell.
