I totally get that Chris, don't get me wrong, I'd love yours, you know my thoughts on your 3dr

But for me, my little T35.55 Spec live mapped is a great fun road car and HOPEFULLY will stay reliable

Pete when it comes to cars you say such wise words.

Part of the ownership for me is keeping my old girl alive and on the road.

I think it's strange that people think that a 20-30 year old car makes a good daily driver. I think there are two major problems with certain RS owners They over expect from the cars. They can't afford to own them. And by own them I mean look after them properly and NOT use them every day, in other words own them as a second car

I actually love it. Been with the same car for 9 years now lol. Just starting a new resto these days! Really looking forward getting it up to standard with some of the cars on here. Its the easiest car I've ever worked on, nothing thats impossible to access etc, and I know it inside out. Its awesome to drive and the heads turn wherever I go with it.

Yep, enough power to be fun, not too much to be a constant source of niggles

PMSL do you actually give them a chance to start talking or do you just shout "Fuck off" as they approach? Lol I had one the other day telling me how his mate owns one, why do they think we give a toss? I was polite though...even looked at the pictures on his phone. They were of cars though...yawn

very valid point Rob as only some RS cars can be considered a daily

Probably comes down to preference perhaps? I have used mine daily for seven years and cant fault it ticks all the boxes and does everything I want it to,comfy as any other motor on long hauls down the motorway.
They will have there niggles like any other motor that's in constant use but part and parcel of it all.
Its a car..to be used..end of.

Is it just when you are in your Cosworth you cant be assed to be polite or are you the same if you are in your everyday car and someone tries to talk to you?
Part of owning and driving a well specced and well looked after Cosworth is the fact it will attract lots of attention and a lot of people will want to talk to you.
I recently had to go to a breakers to get a part for my everyday Renault Laguna estate and when I came out with the part to go home again there was about 8 blokes who work there all looking at my car. They asked me a lot of questions and were genuinely interested and complimentary. So what if you have to listen to some stupid comments every now and then, shrug it off and be polite!!

If you buy your parts from a VAT registered trader and they ship them direct to you then you get the 20% VAT off!

Not powerful enough for the extra weight of spoiler over standard 3-door?

I'd agree with you both - extra cash is best spent on chassis tweeks, tyres and improving your wheelmanship

I used to use mine daily too and loved it. Ive spent a fortune on my bodywork and I darent drive on these salty roads lol.

I honestly love the car and the looks you get when your out and about in it. I love how fast mine is for a 23 year old car. When owning a cossie you have to remember its a old car with old technology and poor suspension lol.
