Blown turbo?? Help
Was out in the Sapph today and the car made a strange blow off noise instead of the usual and I lost all power from the turbo. There is a whine now and the boost gauge is still moving but no turbo boost at all? No smoke at all either?
Blown turbo? All hoses and pipes seem to be ok
Cheers,auld

Got a new actuator from MSD today, great service I must say!
That didn't solve the problem but I think the penny may be spinning and not seating properly. Can you buy a repair kit like a new penny bit and arm ect?
cheers,auld

this is how I do it
leave everything connected just remove your air filter and make a bung to fit in its place with an airline fitting and a gauge on it.
then just apply pressure if there is a leak of any size it simply wont hold pressure, you will find the leak easily as air will be blowing out from it.
if the car is map based it can leak all its pressure and it will still run perfect just no boost, but if you've got afms (air flow meters) It will choke up and eventually flood stall from being so rich ime.
