I have a 3dr with a 2.8 cologne lump in it. Im going to be throwing a 2.9 BOB in to replace it over the festive period but can any one tell me it the 2.8 manifold will mate up with the new power plant or will I have to run it with the BOB setup? Im not really wanting to run it with the BOB catalytic convertors and I believe its a longer down pipe with is good for ripping up tarmac on lower cars which mines is.
Looks like I will soon find out once I chuck the BOB in (thats the easy bit) lol! I might have to look into trying to chop the BOB one up and modding it.
Mine will be made up as I go as I want them to join as early as possibly and have no cats, I painted lines across each join so I could build it back up on the floor and and chop it to suite
Cheers Ade, ditch the cats as in cut them open and empty them or weld a straight pipe in their place? Didnt know I needed to reflash the ECU either so I will be in touch with Dave to find out more.

Straight pipes
You don't have to re flash but if you don't you need all the pats, keys etc for the bob that's why a lot have been using the boa ecu on them, but its not ideal.
