came on tonight in heavy traffic it has not gone into limp mode checked oil all fluids everything okay i know i need to get the code read would it cause any damage engine wise if i carry on using it till i get time to take it to the garage any ideas what it could be thanks its done 150k

Could just be a dodgy lambda reading

had that on my scoob pulled sender off cleaned it put back on and reset and it stayed off

its a 52 plate 2 litre

Could well just be that if it sucked up a bit of dust or shit through the filter

Could be anything.

If it's a petrol 2 litre Duratec, they sometimes put a fault in with a sticky EGR valve, but as I say, it could be absolutely anything..
