Got a problem with my 2008 golf gt tdi sport 140 bhp,every now and then when I pull up and turn car off n remove the key the engine still runs??So few times I've stalled the car then tried starting it again and it starts fine and runs fine!!!doesnt use any oil and drives and runs fine just this fault now and then any help with what it could be??

Im only taking a quess bu that would be the first thing I would look at.

Everything working on the car?
No blown fuses or owt?
Or maybe a alternator fault allowing it to back feed?

Have you tried a switch.

Everythink else works just same as it would switched on with the key?havernt checked switch im still away with work stuck in South Korea! Just wanted to know what it could be for when I get home and have a good look at it

1.9 xr2 on 40's

Had the same on a tranny
New switch on the back of the ignition
Also had a tranny that needed the key turned to position 3 to run
Hard and painful to drive constantly holding the key in a sprung position
