Back in 2012 seen a few from around Ł18k but 2013 they have rocketed and doesn't seem to be that many for sale as their being snapped up by collectors. Sadly think their now out of touch for most of us, I planned to get one by the time I was 30, no chance now!

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I'm trying to make a joke whilst on the beer. Sorry.
I'm 2nd generation, and my folks are from the midlands. There is a lot of money over there.
I meant no harm.

It's one thing buying one but if you intend to use and improve one be prepared to spend some big money. The cost of these cars and parts is taking part of the fun out of owning them.

I kept hanging back and convincing myself they would not rise any more, ended up paying double what I had originally planned to spend, but its now probably doubled again.
Cheap ones are cheap for a reason. Paul and Daz are always the best port of call to find out that reason.
James I would stick with your cracking 3drs, its the look of the 500 I love and you always have that update option on a 3dr

Most rs500s are being sold under the radar now and never get advertised
I had 2 calls only yesterday from people wanting high value rs500s for there collections
I am sad to say that this alone is pushing up prices as collectors are willing to pay big money to own the cars
The 2 nice rs500s for sale on pistonheads at the mo , one at 40k and one at 44k are both my old cars that i had to sell to buy my new house only 4 months ago
Both great cars and would make any owner proud
The problems are that your average man cant understand 40k plus for an old sierra and oftern rant and rave that there overpriced and not worth it , this is exactly the oposite opinion of the serious car collector and hence why most dont get advertised as collectors like buying behind the scenes and they like cars that arnt advertised
There are a lot of dealers jumping on the band wagon now buying and selling rs500s for big bucks ,
