I was there, Tim Harvey really wrung the neck of his old Labatts car, it was fantastic to see him trying to fed off the supertourers up front, he had the straightline speed but they had him on the corners with superior brakes and suspension.

You could see his engine throwing out steam from the front pass wheel
Pity as I think it would have been a great race
These old touring drivers still want to prove themselves,

Watched it thanks for reminder was great! Harvey said he only went for it on first few laps then backed off as engine was too hot, he also said that it was the original engine from 1990! That's pretty good going!
I'm sure jim whelans rebuilt rs500 touring car will be very competitive next year.

I spent a bit f time with Tim Harvey sat night , he was telling some great stories from the old days ( inc telling me how he idnt get on with Mike smith, lol )

Sadly the car got to hot and was blowing water from between the head and block so he backed off after a few laps

Tim is driving the car again at Oulton next weekend so we shall see how he does with the engine now rebuilt .
