Default Mot!

I've got two mot tests on Saturday. The s1 at lunch time
any the st late afternoon. Just found a split balljoint
boot on the st. Don't have the time to sort it. What do you
think my chances are, bearing in mind I'm from
Northern Ireland. Really not looking forward to it. Mot over here
is worse than the flippin dentist!

Don't they give you a week to sort it out? So if it does fail, you can get it re tested?

It would be good to cancel and re book but
I will lose my fee and also they give you the
Date of the re test. As for the silicone, think
it's too far gone for that one so I will just take
It and see what happens. This is why so many
People are catching a ferry and getting an mot
on the mainland.

Travelling to England for a simple boot ? Think it would be easier just to fix it.

Pretty sure most motor factors now keep replacements.

MOT is certainly not difficult to pass though for the most part. Although leaving things til the last minute never helps

Although if the tests are Saturday, that's still two full days to do that 20-30 minute job.

I'm not going to England for a simple boot!
Was just saying that people are doing so because
it's easier to get through over there.
Yes it's a simple job, if you have the time to do it.
It wasn't left to the last minute, it was
Stupidly missed by myself when checking
It over. Unfortunately I'm way too busy over the
Next couple of days to do anything with it.

Cool.

If they were my cars my mate would pass them and advise on the faults cause he knows I would repair the cars.
