Default Advice: duratec 1800??

Basically i have a 1.8 duratec i can use for my escort estate. Just want to know if it will be any good? If i do use it ill run it on bike carbs or something along those lines.

What car is the engine from? Ford do seem to like labelling a lot of their zetecs as duratecs.

Biggest headache will be a proper duratec has its inlet at the front and exhaust at the back, will require a bit of fettling to get it to work I should imagine.

It's from a mondeo intake on the left of the flywheel

Also should mention its going in a mk1 estate so the intake won't be an issue
