I have just got another galaxy a tdi on a 2002 plate but it is sluggish until 2300rpm I have checked all the pipes and done a full service,no fault codes come up but I have noticed the rear silencer is missing would this cause it to be sluggish it still goes along at 75 on the motorway

does it have the vnt turbo on it? could be that

yes it has the vnt turbo it is the auy 115 bhp model

hi the car has now had a reconditioned turbo ,brand new egr,air flow meter and all vacuum pipes checked even the ones behind the heat shield and still no change

Ouch, that's a bloody expensive way to find out it's not that problem.

I presume you've checked for boost leaks and split intercooler?

yes all pipes are in good condition seems to be quite a bit of oil in them but the csar uses no oil I did buy it dirt cheap

the fuel pumps play up on them m8 have fitted some at work if you take the fuel filter off and empey it on bit of paper look to see if you got bits of sworf in it the vanes where and brake up
