Default blue Saph crashed on track (year 2000?)

Bit of a weird thread but i'm looking for any info/pics of a Saph that was crashed on track back in 1999-2001 or thereabouts. I'm sure there was a series of pictures in "Revs" of it rolling into the gravel trap. I think it happened at Croft and the car was (from memory) Imperial Blue with gold wheels.

Does anyone remember it, is the driver on here and does anyone have pics of it?

Cheers!

Yes it was at croft it was a revs magazine event iirc, his peddle went to the floor as he approached clervaux and he yanked the handbrake on it went in the gravel sideways and over.
I used to have the mag but binned it when I moved house in 2006

F#ck hell ( sorry) blast from the past , I was a passenger in the saph it just passed before he decided to enter the corner side way closely followed by the gravel , the mag was snapping pics of him all morning as he was show boating like f[]k , he came from Chelmsford or Colchester direction and luckily for him he trailered it there , it had no cage which the marshals were commenting on

I was there too (alas I had the squits that day so was at the back for all the group photos as I kept running off to the loo!)

Not sure about show boating but he was being a muppet. He came from Chelmsford (pretty sure he part owned Dukes Nightclub from what I recall) and had a massive chip on his shoulder.

Wasn't it a guy called Mike? E300 VKB?

E.T.A. Actually come to think of it that was the crash a few years before.

Andy from Shrewsbury was the other crash a fair few years after

As this thread is on about old mag features does anyone remember the Revs Thrash with a few 3dr's or 500's between 1997-99.

Seem to remember 3 cars 2 white and 1 Moonstone.

If you have a copy scan it up was a quality read just forgot what it said lol

Well look at the state of it.Oviously he wanted a Subaru impreza,so instead of buying one he just makes his saff look like one.

If it was an impreza in the first place he properly wouldnt of crashed lol.
