Default Cars for under £2000. Some special requirements..

As above really, special requirements are as follows...

Easy to get into for an elderly person
Low tax
3/5 door not really bothered
small engine would be a bonus

Thought maybe an Agila (1.2 16v) or the likes.

Any other ideas guys?

Thanks

Phil

Wouldn't say the fox would be easy to get into. I'd be looking into similar cars to the Agila, Suzuki Wagon is the same as the Agila just badged different so may be cheaper. I know the Vauxhall Merivas are easy to get in and out for the elderly as the seat is quite high, not sure on tax prices though but you'll find a clean one around an 04/05 for 2 grand.

Thing with all 3 mentioned are they all look like a normal car thats been squashed between 2 buses So effectively should be easier to park in bays with more room to open the door than a normal car would have.

+1 on the nissan note, we used to have one as a runabout, dull as fuck but would fit the bill perfectly for you.

How about a ford fusion or a Mazda demio slightly raised driving position and nice and easy to load at the back.
