just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what modifications i could make to the escort..
already purchased wheels and suspension - lenso 16's & shocks and springs
just thinking interior, bodywork etc
want to go for the old retro look

Get the door cards from a Orion. They come in trim to match recaros. Both 88 spec and 90.

1.9 xr2 on 40's

5 door trim never matches escort recaros but the ghia trim matches saff cos light cloth recaros and no handles to look odd, the rest depends on what you want to pay or insure, cheap and easy 2.0 zetec and everything rs xr speck from dash pad to roof clock and its as good as can be imo
Make it low and ecceptionally clean and thats all I would do outside except maybe some rs accessory skirts usually found on an orion bit rare these days
