Default How fit a rollcage?

I'm struggling to get the cage to fit inside the sills and currently both legs are sitting on the inner sills

I've scratched the floor to fook trying to get the bugger in.

Its meant to fit in like this:

How the hell do i get both legs to sit inside the car?

Im actually trying to fit it myself without any help, its a right bugger trying to move it in the car straight and mount the legs backwards(as pic shows the legs are meant to mount onto the wheel arches)

Car is S2 ESRT
rollcage is Safety Devices 6 point bolt in cage F018.

Cheers, someone pointed a ratchet strap on the RSOC, the guide safety devices didnt mention about using this so you can see why i have been struggling myself.

ideally you want to be having mounting plates/boxes fabricated so the cage doesnt 'push through' in an accident.

Yeah they are, I think its because i was trying to go in all at once instead of an angle. The leg wouldn't clear the sill. was thinking of doing it that way as the other end is quite heavy. Now i've scratched the paint i'll just force it in, paint the floor again(will need doing after welding) and get the padding for the cage.

I'd rather fit it myself as i've done almost everything during the resto myself except bodywork.
