rs_daz 09-03-2005 06:09 PM

Got one fitted in mine..takes abit of getting use to but dont slip

Anonymous 09-03-2005 06:10 PM

an AP rs_daz?

Paddy 09-03-2005 06:11 PM

you can play table tennis with one.

Don't get a paddle, get an organic one, the whole paddle ON/OFF thing is annoying. :top:

Exeter J 09-03-2005 06:12 PM

As Dave - take more power/torque but IMHO wreck the driveablity of a road car - could try a 6 paddle rather than 4 though.

POPEYE 09-03-2005 06:12 PM

thought the 6 paddles didnt do that though

deleted 09-03-2005 06:13 PM

4 paddle are harsh on off but 6 paddle are superb

deleted 09-03-2005 06:14 PM

they dont pops mine is lovely but a bit heavy on the feet when in traffic

dave cos4x4 09-03-2005 06:16 PM

got a standard pressure plate and 6 paddle in mine and its not bad at all. :top:

Dave.

Exeter J 09-03-2005 06:16 PM

Yeah - but 4 paddle seem most common on RSTs hence the above. Agreed 6 paddle is the way to go.

RST ones here...

Thankfully I have a 3rd leg for when the left one gets tired.

AP racing 4-paddle clutch with lightened flywheel

Anonymous 09-03-2005 06:20 PM

so uprated 6 paddle?

Paddy 09-03-2005 06:20 PM

No, but my braided hair sometimes gets in my eyes when I'm driving.

deleted 09-03-2005 06:21 PM

if u can stretch to a 6 paddle do it mate

Exeter J 09-03-2005 06:22 PM

Never had one - but as the guys above said they are not a problem. The 4 paddle is a nightmare (you get used to it but still a pain) in traffic. I would say it was the worst thing I ever did to my RST and that wasn't even a daily driver - splash out for the 6 paddle if your running high torque or an uprated organic if not.

Anonymous 09-03-2005 06:24 PM

does it feel diff to a normal clutch Grant?

deleted 09-03-2005 06:28 PM

yer but not to harsh, word of advice change the clutch cable too and it will feel like a new car

its hard to explain dont know on a turbo but on the cos the bitting point is more sharp but it handles the power so much better

rs_daz 09-03-2005 06:30 PM

mine dont feel miles different to my old rs 2000 .

I drive mine everyday int sooooo bad as plp make out tho :?

But as above very sharp like on or off

CliffRS4 10-03-2005 07:50 PM

Got a 4 paddle in mine with a warn cover and the bloody thing starts slipping in higher gears when the T34 kicks in.

May take the advice on here and get me a 6 paddle jobby for a bit more comfort although they really aren't that bad to deal with.

gus 10-03-2005 08:04 PM

i got no complaints about my 4 paddle AP

nigel b 10-03-2005 08:48 PM
