Passat 1.8T APU
Looking for a bit advice, thinking someone might have had experience tuning this motor or the 1.8T in general. Had a scout about on google with not much luck.
After a bit more power from the APU lump, totally standard at the minute except from a cone filter with cold air feed.
Just had a good service and diagnosed by a friend at VW with no engine faults.
Looked into local remaps, one company guarantees nearly 50bhp and 70lb of torque for just shy of £200. So that would be a good start.
But what next?
If I was wanting to change the turbo to a k04, what else would be needed? Upgraded injectors, what kind if so? I would imagine TT or similar? ..Intercooler? Anything else?
I take it the clutch would need seeing too aswell?
What sort of power gains would I see from this setup or similar?
Thanks in advance

Chap on audi-sport.net has managed 260bhp from a 1.8T using an E-Bay exhaust manifold, a Nissan 200SX turbo, Vauxhall C20 LET injectors, Golf VR6 MAF and a Golf AGU ECU.
K04 turbo is a non starter as it won't work with the Passats in line engine layout.
