Got the replacment :)
Some may (or may not) know i sold my focus as i wanted to go escort cosworth,...
Well now got one and fooook me do i love it! Total diferent beast to focus,
Focus was very very fast and still comfy... But... Failed to 'do it' for me after 6 years of ownership....
I dropped on a 909 escort cossie rally car which i had to have. After many many phonecalls to brett regarding it i think my missis was starting to think i was having an affair!!
Anyway this is the beast!!
Only 300hp as on restrictor,
909 dog leg straight cut box with direct drive 5th
3.9 quaife diff with suited drop gear in box for front diff,
P8 ecu
Water inj, als, carbon fuel tank, lifeline fire extinguisher, etc etc.

It can run 5 bar for all I care...300 wants the seeing of that restrictor off and let's see that power at less boost... That's car and 450 would be the daddy... Is it 4x4 or 2wd mate..?

Thing is with the gearing its like having 450-500hp
It only does 120 flat out lol, just gets there like stink,
Taking restrictor off probably would jepradise reliability i think as its a higher comp engine, with no big cams,
Im not a cossie expert so got some research to do lol

The WRC cars were high comp and high boost, to get the restrictor out you fag
40psi and 11:1CR with mental cams for WRC if i remember right?
i had a set of Cosworth WRC pistons but they needed matching rods that i didnt have, Cosworth raped me and i recieved 4xrods and ring sets.
you will never stop smiling from the noise and torque, seriousley, ultimate bragging rights over the focus.............right?

i'll be honest!! probably fast road lol, for now,
i want to do some hill climb/ sprint events in it, the gearing is too short for a propper trackday too... for now.. lol
been trying to get hold of harvey for a chat about what direction to go....
engine wise... not sure... it really does shift for the power but thats down to gearing...
IF i do start to tune it... then im going to save some serious coin and put a serious gearbox in there first... maybe a quaiffe 87g.?? i think its called... full on paddleshift jobbie.
after spending mental amounts on my focus and it ending up not really knowing what its purpose was... (mentally fast, but road trim, and wrc looks lol) i dont intend doing the same with this car... i wanted this one because the car itself is all sorted and ready....

if throttle bypass is open then it ticks over like a kunt lol,
the car is currently doing 2 bar of boost (with the restrictor) but as the revs increase up into the 6k region the boost tails off to about 1.5 bar... would this be normal??
coming from a GT35 powered focus obviously the charicteristics are all diferent.... this is where my knowledge of cosworth will now begin..... its going to be a fun few years

Generally a group a rally engine will run 2.2 bar at 3k rpm, and by 6k rpm have dropped to 0.7 bar! If yours is holding 1.5 bar I'd be careful, measure e restrictor and let me know, if it's grp a and 34mm then I would imagine the depression is rather high and the turbo is working overly hard!

Ill hazard a guess that the box and that restrictor end up off in the near future...as I think Rich wants to do track days and drive on the streets etc...I bet it blistering quick now at that power and spec.. Wouldn't mind a drive tbh.......

its very diferent to drive from what im use to, and you change gear just like a motox bike.... so fast thru the gears,
doesnt FEEL as fast as my focus did (obviously) but the speedo just flys round, i will tune in the future, and yes been on phone to your old man jimbo,
because i now have a "sorted" shell, and a decent engine,
im going to get some coin together and buy a "propper" pukka gearbox first,
harvey's putting me intouch with someone who can build me a 4x4 box but with straight cut gears and 2wd ratios,
after this, i'll be saving some money and having a 550-600 (maybe more lol) engine for it, all this as a package with the car should make it a propper weapon!!
i hope lol, this wont all happen in a few months,
took me 6 years to get focus how it was, but if i set myself a goal i will always work to achive it
