Default New shock absorber ?
I bought a new rear shock absorber for my saff today anyways took the shocker outta the box and it was fully pushed in and stays there and doesn't depress on its own. Is this right?
not the best explanation but any help much appriciated

Sounds like an oil damper. Gas dampers extend themselves
