Whats the best breather set up for a YB 2wd approx 350hp, dont have a lot of room under bonnet so looking at a single tank set up like a Bailey or pro alloy.

Bailey's are pretty good, most go for the cylindrical ones and fix them to the bulkhead, ideally you want to breath from both sides of the block.

Take a basic Bailey breather, and use the 2 top ports to breath from both sides of the block i.e. from where the old kidney box used to be on the inlet side and open the blanking plug on the block underneath the turbo.

Then you leave the larger port underneath the Bailey tank to breath into atmosphere and the smaller port underneath you should use as an oil return. But for that, you must weld a port onto the sump to enable correct fitment

Or fit a sump plug adaptor to allow oil to drain into drain plug hole. I would like a wrc breather but the cost is a little prohibitive at the moment as need to buy other stuff first, pity no one does a budget block mounted breather

Cool at what point do you need to start breathing from the rocker cover.

Some don't recommend breathing from cam cover and breath from both parts of the block, others breath from cam cover and std location then connect oil drain to other side of the block, both methods are used and tbh most breathers are connected this way I believe breathing from both sides of the block is better for track work as the breather can get blocked with the oil in the sump then the oil in the head doesn't drain due to breather in head giving less pressure at the top of the engine. Don't think it would happen on the road though,

As above, my cam cover has a blanking plug and it's been fine for years. Given it enough abuse from here to Gatebil and still ticking
