Default SORN

Evening all,

I have a car I want to scrap, can I scrap it even though the SORN ran out a couple of years ago? I have the V5 etc

Yes,just ring the scrappy and let them know,they sort all the paperwork for you.dvla wont bother you for that.

Is it registered in your name ? if it is ring them first tell them you bought it and stipped it for spares with the intention of re registering after doing it up but never give them to much details or they'll send you a summonds for not declaring a sorn ,now their goverment funding been cut they are out to make money bank on it ,i've had many a run in with them, but they hav'nt got me yet and the fine just keeps going up.

Whats the fine for not declaring it worn?
Anyway of getting out of not declaring your project car sorn as I thought you only had to sorn it once and it would automatically come off sorn when you taxed it?

SORN has to be renewed every 12months
