Default Carb'd zetec!

Lookin into running bike carbs on a zetec 1.8 engine what are best to use, does the cc of the bike matter, can you use 600/750 carbs or is it better to just go straight for the 1000cc carbs?!

Thanks in advance!

I went for bike injector bodies for my 1.8

I thought a good way to start was go similar to the kits available. And not too much bigger than the ports etc. good taper and length means you can use smaller bodies.

I got some 07 cbr1000rr bodies which suit 1.8 blacktop sizing, cause they were cheap enough. Measure your ports and do a bit of reading on throttle body sizing, and you'll know what size to look for. You'll probably find the bike body sizes out quite easily. Keep the runners long as possible and you'll have a nice amount of torque.

I didn't have anything and I want to have a go at mapping too. And for the price I got mine including all 8 injectors I couldn't say no. Just gotta make a manifold to suit cause they aren't cast as singles like some others are.

I'm running a set of Kawazaki ZX7R carbs on my '130' spec 1800 Zetec. I had a set of twin 40 DCOE previous and the bike carbs made 9 more ponnies!
