Removing Lambda Issue's
Hi all.
Im having real problems removing my lambda sensor, I cannot remove it at all. I have tried spraying WD40 around it and letting it soak for a bit (mistake as the engine bay was smoking for a bit after I drove it hours later), I also have tried warming my car up by starting it up and letting it sit for about 10 mins and still cann't get it undone. I am using a lambda plug socket which is sort of a deep socket with an open side for the cable to come out. It just bends and then slips on it. What else can I do? Jason |
No body removed a lambda? lol
|
proper lamnda sockets shouldn't bend.
it might well be seized in though and need an oxy acetalene torch to budge it. |
The socket is made by draper and was only a £fiver.
The sensors been in there for 15 years & almost 100k miles so yeah probably seized, I have a small kitchen blowtorch, is that powerful enough? |
nope only thing that is good for is slow burning rubber bushes, been there done that!
needs to be able to get it glowing red hot! take it to a garage mate. |
Ok Cheers mate.
