Default colour plate on saph cossie

anyone seen a plate like this before?

was told last night the car is a reshell due to the numbers being stamped down (no arguments please doesnt bother me either way) could this plate be something to do with that or is it something else ?

One of my cossies was reshelled using a brand new shell in the past, this is what the plate looks like on it, numbers stamped upwards and quite different to yours...

Service shell. If the painter hadn't lost mine, I could show you the back - it is a standard Ford VIN plate stamped to use the blank side.

Mine says something like Sliding Roof XR4i, Daventry.

So, is that where the vin plate goes, or the 'colour / trim' plate? (near the n/s headlamp)

Don`t think it`s a service shell as when i used to work for Ford the plate would have said PRIMED PAINTED etc. P.S wouldn`t have sierra cosworth wrote on it either.
