Yes. A press release from Blinks label states "the band are on indefinte "hiatus" with no plans to work together again. Seems they want to take time to enjoy the fruits of their labours with their familys and loved ones"

But you know what this means don't ya? They have been together 10yrs, recorded a bunch of albums, tour'd the worl and made bundles of money....

So in 10yrs time, they realise they need more money, will reform, go on a massive tour and a bunch of 35yr old guys will recount their youth by paying £75 a ticket to see em on thier reunion tour

Trust me, I am a Kiss fan, I know how this works

I quite like some of their stuff too, but I don't tend to get upset over band splits, I leave that to my 8 year old (sorry, I'm not helping am I? )

My opinon;

as a band - sad to see a band who's been together ten years, whose main love is creating music together split up.....

as for the music - just fucking glad they won't be putting out shit music anymore

Haven't cried about a band break up since the Spice Girls split

That doesn't mean much to me....oddly enough, most of the 'old school' stuff I listen to is from your side of the pond. (Zeppelin, Floyd....)

About the only 'recent' band I like from over here is Alice in Chains....and unfortunately, they won't be releasing any new material since Layne is dead.

Blink are a great band IMO, but I won't loose sleep over it

Now I would if it was: Rancid/Green day/NOFX
But they ain't sellouts so it ain't gonna happen

And what thrush said about the reunion tour in 10-20 years time is so true lol, but tickets will proberly be closer to £200 due to inflation
