Default BMW 320d fuel consumption

i got 04 320d sports in jan and i am only getting 520 miles on a full tank of juice on easy driving and i had a 01 320d and i used to get 620 to 650 on a full tank. now i know they changed engines in 02 so i'm just wondering can someone shed some light on this please

Something worth double checking is are the fuel tanks the same size in both cars?

Always wondered what the BMWs do to a tank - how much does it cost to fill up??

I got 500miles to Ł47 in my Pug306TD this week!!

how many miles has it done...

you gotta let the engine loosen up 1st!

whats the onboard comp say your doing to the gallon... you'll get 48mpg if you thrash it and 55+ otherwise!!!

I had a x reg 320d touring and driven hard used to get about 30-35 mpg, driven sensibly got 50-55 mpg. brought it with 42000 miles on the clock and sold it 13 months later with 101000 miles, so well loosened up!
p.s. was a really nice car, should of never sold it

yes the fuel tanks are the same size, it costs 55 euro to fill up. its done 15k and when i fill it up the on board comp reads 620 then the miles fall off really quick anyway car is booked into garage on tusday, i only had the car two days and rear speed sensor went german reliabilty hey!
