looking for help with microsquirt v.2.2
Hi Peeps, been on here a while, done a few posts in the past. I need some help with my ECU please (Microsquirt v2.2). The engine I am building for my car is a Ford 2.9 V6 12V, going to be running 2 T2 turbos. I need help with which of the following would be best for my needs
- Air intake sensor
- Coolant sensor
- Map sensor
- Throttle position sensor
I'm thinking of using an EDIS6 from the 24V Granada engine, is this the best option?
What injectors would be needed for 300bhp?
Thanks
Stuart

Coolant sensor - well, unless you really do not want the ECU to know what temp the engine is at, then i'd say that it would be quite useful.
Air intake sensor - the MAP and TPS pretty much make this redundant for your application I think. Someone may know better then me though, as I do not run a turbo or a V6.
Map sensor - again these are very useful. You will need a positive pressure type as your using turbo's.
Throttle position sensor - well, same again, unless the megasquirt can guess the throttle angle by some other means? Some ECU's do use the TPS to calculate the air flow instead of a MAP sensor, but they can also use it to help with other parts of the engines running.
Cannot see any problems with the EDIS 6, although will it produce a good enough spark for the boost you'll need for 300bhp?
On another note, do you think your able to build a 300bhp engine if your asking these sort of questions?
