Question Removing door Sills??

Hi all, first post and new user.

My problem is that I now have a nice ugly scrape on the passenger side sill approx a foot and half long , thanks to a ridiculously high kerb in a multi storey car park (the Bullring to be exact).

Firstly I'd like to know if they can be removed, if so what's involved.

Secondly, if not then what's my other option?

If people want photo uploaded I should be able to do this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
