Default Anyone know what this is?

Speedo has just stopped working and this is hanging off! Anyone know where it goes on an ib5?

It's the earth from the battery, you bolt it through the gearbox into the block, the starter motor will use this amongst other things so put it back on lol

if the earth strap has fallen off, make sure the rest of the bellhousing bolts are still tight

maybe it's electronic and needs the earth to work?

or perhaps the box has moved enough and it's broke the drive?

figure out if it's a speed sensor that works the speedo or not first

Ib5 has the speed sensor on the gearbox, pretty fragile and a pain to change
