I was running 235 40 17 good year eagle f1 on the rear of my 385hp 2wd cossy, grip was amazing did a number of 12.4 runs down at pod and never slipped or span, tried a few other tyres in the past but never as good as these, the car was on standard rear beam with coilovers.

Happily retired
Cant agree with that they are of little use at mega Power. Only tyres that give me grip are Dunlop DOJ series & 888. I used Pilot Sport & F1 at 500bhp though.

Perhaps not every, but they worked and lasted well on Stian Hafsengen's 700+bhp Escort during every drifting session, so I have no issues with them all year round

As above, had them for a bit on my original Focus with a FRS conversion. In 205/40/17 I found them to be quite shit, but on an 18" wheel they weren't too bad.
But for an overall road and track tyre, if its not an R888 then the Michelin Pilot is the best tyre. You pay for what you get, and I'd rather spend on something that won't drift me into a motorway barrier

Its far from ideal, but it wouldn't melt IMO. Unless you mean from heat from the turbo housing? Looking at where the oil feed is I bet there was more clearance than it looks like.

Find a mate that works at a garage and get them fitted for nowt or a back hander. I wouldn't trust anyone but a mate to fit tyres onto my wheels, don't want them getting scuffed.
And you really need to find tyres from alterior locations, you're ripping yourself off bud

To be honest i never abused it that hard, couple of trackdays but that was just for sliding it about yellowstuff pads and silly disks lol did the job.
that pipe was only there for 2 days untill the aeroquip stuff arrived
there was a few on boost 90+mph full on loss of traction that were interesting
Paul, you gotta love Croft!!!
miss being so far away from it now, Brands is my local track, nowhere near as good IMO
