Let pistons in a black top Zetec!

Is it possible to fit let pistons into a black top Zetec engine? Some people are saying that sliver top rods have to be used? Can anyone clear this up?

Also what power are the standard rods good for?

blacktop rods increase CR, silvertop reduce CR.
standard rods should do about 300horses in turbo form.
