What do you think?
Hi guys, I had this made for my car because the other half got a bit fed of been bounced around her seat on the track at Silverstone, for Ford Fair 2011.
I didn't want (or rather the other half did not want) a full roll cage so I took the compromise option and went for this. I can also mount a camera to it as well as having my harnesses on. Let's just say the grin factor this year was bigger then Garfield's.
Anyways here is a picture so you can see how it looks; so please feel free to comment your opinion cause I think it a good compromise (to keep the other half happy anyways) lmao. Not bad for a quick 3 day last minute request.
Also I had this reservoir holders - other half said they attracted a lot of attention when we were on the Power and Style Awards. (Left her in the car and I went for a mooch around).
Can't wait for next year already.

Pretty need IMO, I don't mind harness bars at all provided they are mounted sequerly (not sure on my spelling there).

You can proper wedge yourself tight in, lol.
only thing I find is if you leave your drivers door open strap yourself in securely, you can't reach your door to close it. lol hehehe

Alright lads you don't need to start an argument here, asking anyone want one doesn't mean he's going to sell you them. Anyway's looks like a really cool item. Top work.

Is the main tube mounted to the upper seat belt mounting points?
Yes the main steel tube is mounted on the lower bolt of the upper seat belt mounting point.
Can I ask a random and slightly obvious question? Why not just have a rear strut brace and wrap them around that?

And diagram Drawing No. FIA 253-4 page 189
This gives a more of an insight to the correct angle of a typical safety belt installation. Also page 190 give the best way to anchor your harness.
My thoughts we're to have the shoulder straps as level as possible so no unnecessary strain went through the seats just in case of an incident. on the plus side the original back seat belt mounting point was used as then all of the original safety points are in use to secure the harness straps.
