ok would like to know what peoples views are on these cars? am considering getting one next year of course they cost a fair bit so want to make sure am making the right choice
do you think they worth the money? are they really thirsty? what do you think they be worth in 3-4 years time not expecting them to make money but dont want to lose a fortune either. current owners come on whats your advice?

my opinion on the new RS (as a mk1 RS owner)
it looks a little stuck together in the flesh (maybe i'm just not a fan of the mk2) liking the wide wheel arches but the spoiler difuser and wing badges arent to my linking.
seats are way better than the mk1, proper recaros, interior is a good spec, although a little too much plastic on the dash
engine is superb, almost 400bhp for £3500 isnt to be sniffed at, handling is great, brakes could be better (just buy AP's)
alround a great car, sounds fantastic on full chat and being a new ford, will go on forever...my FRS has done 110k happy miles faultlessy in the last 8 years

We have recently just purchased the mk2 FRS, it's in a different league to the original having said that, I owned a mk1 FRS for 2 years and loved everything about it.
It's down to personal choice and how much you can afford to spend.

I think they look awsome and are one of my favourite fords! As Clarkson said u get the best of everything, comfort, gadgets, speed ad looks!
Should of made it 4 wheel drive is the only downside id say!

I spoke to a few mk2 focus rs drivers and not 1 hated the rs.
Yhey look nice imo.I think the bit of trim on the wing could of been a proper vent instead on just been stook on with double sided tape.
Would i have one? defo...

ok cheers guys think i will be on the look out for one in the new year once i sell my Jag and S2
i also think the dash looks a bit cheap but could probably live with that, as for the mk1 rs focus i love them also, just can't stand the blue on the seats and steering wheel unless i spotted a decent car that had the seats retrimmed maybe.

Ive now done a fair few miles in mine and cant really say I can faulty it, cant get a little annoying on the suspension when doing numerous long journeys a week but I knew what I was buying so not a fault of the car.
It's alot LESS thirsty than the ST I had before this which was the most surprising. Tyres arent cheap so If you buy one make sure you've plenty left on them.
All round a decent car for what you pay for it, always brings a smile to my face when you want to put your foot down which is one of the reasons its still around as my company work car.

Spot fuckin' on boys. It's totally boring to hear now, very very rare that someone who has actually driven one complains. Does my head in when blinkered bummers bang on and on, wanting it to have a 30 year old engine and a transmission that shits its pants at 300bhp. Mk2 FRS is a great car and does everything it needs to.
Most useable RS and fastest in stock form. Just mong-spec replies from the people like you guys mentioned have become a real drain now.

The bloke who parks his lorry in my yard has one. He's had a concourse Stage 3 Escort Cosworth, a Mk2 Escort with a HT Racing 2.1 Pinto and RB5 Subaru Impreza amongst many others and says that the MK2 Focus RS is the best car he's ever owned.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
i dont own one my dad does but i have used the mk2 countless times great car a lovely put together car. One downside which also best friend experienced with the mk 2 is the rear spoiler develops a rattle which can get a little annoying on the motorway.
But you cant ignore the great value and quality a mk1 focus rs can offer at the moment. they are not too far from rs turbo money.

I was one of the haters when it came out, and also banged on about it not being 4wd.
The looks have grown on me, apart from the bonnet vents. Look like an afterthought IMO.
The advice i got was; "dont drive one or you'll want one".
100% accurate. A crackin' drivers car.
Gotta be white tho

Two friends of mine currently one a Mark2 Focus RS.
One has the 400kit from Jansport, Lower arms, Coilovers, AP Brakes.
Second one is near standard bar the Zorst and De-cat.
I would have to say, both driven hard, both say when cursing they do get a good fuel range, not only are the confy in the front seat, there bloody nice in the back too.
First one doesnt spin at all in the dry, nor does it over or understeer, its bloody sticks and goes like fuck, and i mean LIKE FUCK.. the grip is unreal..
Second one, well i went out with him awhile back down some short nifty roads, and the car was top, not once did it have a problem with getting any of the power down, you point it goes, its truly an Epic car.
The best is the sound you get, that raw is known right away, and i have to say, if i could afford one, ill go out and get one.
However though, they wouldnt be a car i would buy, because Imo i like old cars, and i love how they feel, drive, i feel more like its me driving, with no power steering its awesome to feel the country roads.. but its down to what someone likes driving, me myself im not big into comfort i like to feel like im sat in a race ready car.. which is what i have, and a daily hacker for my normal milk and shopping trips, sometimes gets a-little skando flicks into islands because its a boat, but thats all fun.
On the Focus though, there is nothing i can i dislike, nothing..
