I'd have thought with the amount of seat time you get it should be you teaching Mike by now not the other way around

My mate was out on track in his red mk1 fiesta in this session. Said Charlie went round him side ways and gave the thumbs up before planting it on the straight

Awesome bit of kit and amazing driver!!

There was zero wrong with his driving, it was just knowing why the car was doing certain things, and he was convinced it was because the set up was wrong so was just being a bit wary and nervous of it. As soon as it was pointed out that it was HIM causing the car to do that, and that he could make it do it or not make it do it by using more or less of the track, he was then confident enough to do his "thing" and stepped up the pace several notches once he realised that there was nothing to be scared of.

Was really funny when we caught the GTRs and were just lining them up for a spanking and they both suddenly dived into the pits at the last minute .

Some awesome drifts, the favourite of which was pulling another gear (without thinking about it) while sideways out of the corner before the "Grandstand straight". The Westy is just like a big go-kart and Lee was making it dance - so much so that I hogged the passenger seat for the rest of the afternoon - made my day .

Thanks Mike. High praise from you! Its back to ProAlloy on wednesday for few cooling tweaks and mods. Then just some new brake discs and sort that boost solenoid hose issue....

Then you can have a drive of it at Bedford!

Was BUZZING when I got home. Was driving it in my sleep! such an aderanline buzz. Much as I like my other track cars. That thing is on another planet when it comes to excitement and thrills and you have to 'drive' it. The Lotus kinda does it all for you... and the Clio is too well set up to ever scare you with just 200bhp.

LOVE MY WESTY! massive thanks to Stu and all else involved

Charge temp issues are sorted. By the way Mike. I pulled all the videos out of the SmartyCam. We did a Genuine GPS 146mph on Hanger straight.... and touched 140 once coming into the grandstand complex.

For a seven type car... thats pretty fast! as they don't accelerate much past 120mph normally

LOTS more to come as well!

Lobed watching it go past on track mate. You was right. Silverstone is so long you think you're doing everything wrong.

Glenn, we saw them nipping past people on the inside at the last minute just before the apex which im sure they were doing with plenty of margin for error, but given that they seemed to be doing it even in the novice sessions im sure a few people on track would have got spooked by it!

Let me know when you're uploaded them to You Tube! Been abusing Stu today . He's retired the Westy as apparently "It's work is done" . More like he can't drive it .
