Default ZVH conversion kit from Mad For it.

any1 used one of their kits or been and had one fitted. i read that artical in Fast Ford and now i have blown my Cvh up, the only realistic option is to go ZVH on 40s.

how long does it take them to send it back???

i have an 1800 zetec bottom end and a ported, polished head with a cam aswell.

any info on using them, or on the kit they suppy for the conversion would be great.

also has anyone done the conversion using the 1800 insead of the 2.0l. is it a good route to go or is it worth the hassle of finding a 2.0l bottom end.
time is also a factor and i have the head and the bottom end already

cheers

,he set our fezz turbo up well and we've had no problems with parts off him ,knowing him he's probably got all the parts required at hand,so why not give him a ring 01579 320070 or 01579 321735
cheers

suppose your right matt. might aswell give him a bell and see what the crack is. i really would love to be ale to drive down there and have it all done there and drive away but that aint gonna happen, so i will have to send the bottom end down to thwem and fit it and rolling road it up here. problem with living near newcastle. miles away from most shows and not really sure if there is anywhere that can do stuff like this round here

you never know with colin ,last time we went they stripped a zvh rst in about 2 hours , right down to the bare engine bay ,its not the engine block change or the putting back in thats gonna take the time is the travelling and set up really
it would be best imo to find a good 1800 zetec ,get the water pump adaptor plate from him and the adapted mount and the 1800 cvh cam belt tentioner ,the felpro from burtons and the new head bolts and get the block to him for drilling and tapping or a good engineering firm, the flywheel is just a drilling job to make the holes bigger and the rest is putting back together and cleaning / servicing ,and if you do use the 1800 you dont need to change the sump either ,
the only other option is too come on holiday with the car on a trailer and drop it off ,pick it up when you go home i'd wait till the weather improves though ,bit blowy at the mo

Its just mad for it supple parts that you dont need like the head bolts, water pump and the a cam belt that is said to be custom made standard parts work fine, the other parts in the kit are from a local plumber not machined parts from a machine shop, they dont even block the oil returns in the block or skim the head to bring the compression ratio up .
PM me and i'll give you a address on someone that sells a better kit that has a instrusion book in the kit that tells you how much to skim the head and how to do the job right.
