It's a resistor, it only needs to be on the earth or live line, maybe it's joined in the loom ?

The loom looks the same as what MSD used to sell James.

The resistor is only on one side of the loom .

What resistance is the resistor ?

It's to increase the impedance to a suitable level so as not to burn out the amal valve drivers in the ECU.

If you wire the injectors in parallel you decrease the impedance and need to compensate with a resistor, or if your injector/s don't have enough impedance wired as a series circuit then you need to add additional resistance to up the ohms to the desired level.

Thanks Daz,

From what i can tell, they are in parallel, so is having the resistor on one side correct ?

Do you know what the resistance should be ?

Realy need to get this sorted ASAP

You'll probably find that one injector is high impedance and the other low and the resistor is there to bring up the resistance on the low impedance injector.

Yes it probably is correct. The resistor rating will be dependant on what your combined resistance is of the connected injectors. 12 ohms is usually the figure to aim for (measured through the wiring harness with the injectors connected).

Yes, at the end of the loom that connects to the original harness.
