Default whats the best battery from halfrauds??

hi folks, as above, there's loads of dif ones. I was thinking the calcium 4year one as it wil be stored most winters so should be able to swap it over for new battery if it goes dead in that 4 years. It has to be halfords though as i got gift vouchers lol! Cheers luke

If you know some one with a halfords trade card use it, think it 50% off batteries.

Car dependant ?, you may have to have a calcium one, most smart charge systems charge at a rate not suitable for std lead acid.
For storage reasons a calcium will fair no better than a std lead acid one, if they do AGM, they will resist damage from being left discharged and don't flatten themselves now where near as quick anyway when not used, although a LOT more money for stored/infrequently used cars these are easily the best.

thats only if its broken though, they won't give you a new one for the hell of it.

mind i'm not saying get the best you possibly can either but if lead acid is all you need then you can get them pretty cheap, especially on trade.

Take the battery off over the winter and keep it in the warm, could even put a solar battery conditioner on it to keep it tip top.

Get a trade card. Battery for my Skoda retailed at £110. I paid £60-£70 on trade

Get the best battery you can, think the Calcium is the best they sell. Then buy a CTek or Optimate battery charger and never let ya batter go flat when not in use

How much are those charges mate? Do they just keep a small charge in the battery?

about £40, look on ebay They just top the battery up when need, but you leave it connected 24/7. Best thing I bought for my car and have used it for loads of other cars too

Not when ya have tracker ya dont The battery back up on tracker is an estimated 30 days, so leave your battery disconnected for 2 months and you need to spend £80 with tracker to have battery replaced or all thieves need to do is disconnect the battery and the tracker is useless

I have no idea mate, but I would rather pay the yearly fee and have a chance of getting my car back than just losing it without trace
