any BMW mechanics on here?

my friend has an 05 520d today it wouldn't start but he said a light flashed last week say battery discharging, what does that mean bsattery fucked? cheers hugh

Does it crank? I've seen this happen on my old mans E60. Has the battery gone flat at all recently?

sorted, he got a new battery, but it would not go with a battery pack or jump start, thanks for help
