I thought the project 2000 was based on a mk5 shell?

No, definitely a mk6.

I'd still have it. Needs a few little changes though now.

Still a good base I think, just needs the lights sorting and proper wheels, i wouldn't pay £6k for it tho.

It was such a cool car when they first made it, and well ahead of its time. I drove it briefly as I worked on Revs at the time, and it was a really impressive well made car.

Looks like a right dog's dinner now though!

Its got to be a giggle overtaking people in much more expensive machinery in a bright pink escort.

Car is mine

you pay your money you make your own choices on what to do with it, if you like the colour or not it will always be a little bit of modifying history and i couldn't paint over it. the interior may not be to everyones liking but the photos really dont do the car justice its also moved on a long way from max power days as almost all the work was old or cobbled at the time.

car is now in very good mechanical conditon but was in a very poor state due to neglect, it is now a very competant track day car and beating people in so called faster cars in a pink car is a giggle see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfTiSfEUfgA for car in action at silverstone session 3rd cut short due to fuel surge hence £1500 worh of pumps hoses and swirl pot 6K doesnt even touch the spec on the car if you read down the listing

thanks
