as above booking it in a few weeks but need to tell them now what i want to drive its either audi r8,aston martin db9 or vantage, lamborghini gallardo, ferrari 355 or 360, ii think i fancy the aston but everyone is saying im mad and i should take the lambo?

What do YOU want to drive. For me it would have to be the Ferrari as they're so damned special. But most people will have a different idea of what they would take out given the chance.

mate at work went on one of these, he said they dont let you rag em really, he said once you get into third gear, they slip a locking thing over the gears so you cant get back down to second etc....

thats what he said anyway...

I know someone who went on one, they told him to keep the revs to 4000 and under, I can see their point from safety though, but spoils the fun a bit.
I would out of those listed NOT drive the one you want, like TG said often better not to meet your hero, in case you're disappointed, happened to me when I drove my first evo, awsome car and all that just so bloody boring, just doesn't scare the shit out of you like a rwd cossie!!
