I'm sure hardened man city/Scotland/Swansea fans will remember a footballer by the name of tommy hutchinson?he famously went from hero to villain in an fa cup final scoring a goal then an own goal.
Anyway,when he played for the swans,he was sponsered by yugo and had to drive round in a pimped up version.

I used to maintain a Yugo Zastava, as said basic reliable transport that doesn't cost the earth to run or own, I especially remember the rear brake shoes auto adjusters, as they were light years ahead of anything else at the time or since, just a round rubber block either side of the metal of the shoe so it was sandwiched to the back plate, worked fantastic though, much better than the ford etc auto adjusters that don't!!

really ? so i bet the injectors fucked up on the carb then or the dual mass rattled around the gearbox and the eml came on regularly too did it and the egr kept failing .
fact is them mk4 escorts were so reliable it was only rust that seen them off with the early ones and later in the run when the wheel arch liners were introduced and they were german built they were fantastic cars.
