Default Oil dripping from intercooler pipe on galaxy - is this a bad thing??

I saw a few spots of oil where the galaxy has been parked and had a quick look.

there's a small drippy bit of oil where a metal pipe joins a rubber pipe at the drivers side bottom of the engine. It is a small bit. I think there is a small hairline crack in the metal pipe. Am I right in assuming this is the intercooler pipe?

I think the performance is OK at the mo and no unexpected smoke, although I do remember it being a swifter on acceleration (I could be wrong).

I haven't had this long, its a 1.9 TDI 130 BHP and does not look anything like either the petrol Mondeo or the MK2, so any help appreciated.

not unsual to happen

all our vans have oil in the cooler pipes, think it's soething to do with the way theyr breathe

if you are really worried remove the pipe and clean it out and then refit

unless it's broken, in which case you may need a replacememnt

Relocate the breather pipe into a catch tank (ebay) clean out the pipes and get no more problems. Ive done this with my VW Tdi Sharan and Pug expert Tdi.

if its oil in the intercooler pipe then it shows your turbo is passing oil!

Most turbo designs will pass a certain amount of oil, it most likely looks worse as the crack makes it visible, where as before it was hidden and burnt in the engine.
