maximun oil temp for track use ?

maximun oil temp for track use ?
as above , anybody know what the max is ? just fitted a gauge and was showing 105 - 110
today on track , was giving it death , thought it was a bit high , also have oil cooler fitted
any info would be great

the silk 10/w50 pro starts working at 100 and rated to 170 so if your hiting 110+ i'd be using something like that
either
castrol 10/60
total 10/50
or silk 10/50
all are rated to high temps

You don't want to be going over 130C, if you do you need more oil cooling, oils don't start "working" at 100C, if they did your engine would be scrap in no time, they work from the word go.
I used to regularly hit 130C on my xr4i, but that was because it was on LPG, I'd aim around 110C where you are, but wouldn't use a 5W30, although nice for road driving, you would be better off with something a little thicker like a 40w or a 50w imo.

this is 1 reason for having oil thats too good for the engine in some cases
