yes mate check all over for rust have a good poke around everywhere, if/when you view try and get it started from cold to see what its like also if you can have a test drive so you can check what the gearbox ect is like if it goes ok sounds ok and you dont find any nasty rust it could be a good 1. im not expert tho

Hi mate this car had lots of uprated parts im talking about 7/8years ago i never owned a cossie then but was on a look out for 1.BUT i had a mate from the same area and he heard rummers that they yousto pinch parts for cossies and rebuilt these two cars.but on the upside they did have good bits well iv been in the white one that yousto pin you up in the seat/mines 380 bhp and that was a lot faster until he blew it up cossie style loloh yeah they were fully painted aswell.at the time were mapped by PJ motorsport and lookin @ pics u aint gona go wrong there mate get it bought.check the foot wells for rust and chasis num by the drivers seat .

check gear change 2nd to 3rd they usually crunch due to worn syncro listen for whinning from gear box and diff. they rust around the front suspension turrets as well.
check oil in water etc with claimed 360bhp check injector colour if its on green then it's proberly not 360.
rust round sun roof like mk4 escort. rear arches rust rear chassis legs rust they suffer from rust on the transmission tunnel too but you won't see that unless you take the interior out!
looks nice in the pics mate not too badley priced either at the mo the saff seems to be creeping up in value at the moment.
if think of any thing else i'll post.
good luck,
Phil

You would need an aftermarket chip (many differant manufacturers) or a live map
-31 or -34 actuator
RS500 style intercooler
3 bar map sensor
maybe a t34 turbo
dark green injectors (Bosch 803) - many people use siemens injectors these days, not 100% sure of the spec
Don`t think I`ve missed anything
Best thing to do is check this link put up by Motorsport Developments themselves

Yes, I has light greens in my old saph cossie.
Don`t see them much these days, it was used in the early days of cosworths. Sometimes referred to as Stage 2.
Mine was a Graham Goode Stage 2 chip with light greens. Standard Actuator and Map Sensor. Its just a posh Stage 1 really!!!!

10K+ Poster!!
Have you had a good look of it underneath? And behind the bodykit for rot, I think getting one with a solid shell is more important than mechanical faults, looks like a nice car mind.

have you bought it yet?
looks nice in the pics.
4x4 's are massively better to drive than the 2wd ones, just a huge leap forward especially if tuned they are just so much more capable than the 2wd. I even preferred my 4x4 to my escort and 3rd cosworths, ok it was worth peanuts compared to them but it was the only one I kept long term.
Rust and worn engine (piston slap/crank shaft/big ends) are the biggest things to be checking for when buying. Also look for as much history as you can get - if any history missing then something is up - look into it. That gear-nob says to me it was owned by a nob so you do need to check carefully all round - its a 20 yr old cosworth that could potentially go bang at any moment and leave you with a large bil -l so take someone with you who knows these cars.
