* Phil, I think that you posted once when you had wheel spin while testing/mapping your shonky car 35 mph ?????

Big up Dave (YUM)......I must admit, dont think I've ever read a
single post by him where he's boasted about the performance
of his car.........

I have read lots of great things about the speed of his car
posted up by peeps he's taken out for a drive

Interesting
Im not arragant but i am completely self confident that if i set my mind to something i will achieve it & also im mega competative. The prob is when i first came on here i did not want to get involved in the competative side as i was over 50 & winding down. I took a lot of flack & chicken jibes because i had a Powerful car & didnt run it. So i took the bait & now i get accused of being arragant cos I achieved my aims . I do realise that having an old geezer with the Fastest Cossie aint easy to take but it was the lads on here that kicked it off.
From now until September when im 60 i will continue to press on with mods to my car as i want to make the Topspeed record hard to beat, thats not being arragant thats being competative something i was born with.
Rod

rod i dont care how old ya are, i always had respect for ya doing what ya do, ive spoken to ya once and ya never came across as arogant when i spoke to ya but on here yan do seem to come across like it, not a dig at all just a observation

as said dave dont really get involed in the arguments on here and alot of people praise him and hes car , i never even new hi car was the 10th fastest cossie either , i must admit i respect his car a hell of alot knowing that now as hes car is used every week and he rags the arse off it to show people THEN he rags it home again

thats a good reliable conversion , thats changed a opinion of mine today

Simon if I was a paraniod person like yourself I would be thinking why ask this question But I think the comeback is about my PF trader stattus and how I am making money out of it,
Just to keep you informed on this I am sending the cheque Monday and back dated the payment to include last years amount as well .
How's the sale of SECS to GGR coming along

GGR?

So the S8 is now gonna be as expensive as Autronic

If the rev limit was set to an acceptable limit on Broms car with hydraulic lifters it would still be running strong now....and i would say whoever mapped it would know not to rev past 8k...so this tells me the ECU rev limit didnt do its job!...I stand to be corrected though

If your engine is fully loaded foot to the floor and your clutch suddenly dis engages
as your nearing the rev limit it will still over rev ITS called inertia phill,
Same as if your wheels loose traction or you miss a gear
Stand corrected

Alg1k....on hydraulic lifters the absolute MAX is 8200rpm....if you regulary go above this failure will happen..any tuner that recommends its ok should not be classed as a tuner more a chancer of other peoples engines .

I am now under the impression that you are reving yours too high on hydraulic lifters!!!...I will however say this by all means set the rev limit to 9k its 100% safe aslong as you dont rev above 8-8.2k rofl

It is a shame that I am not allowed to ask a perfectly reasonable question
without being victimised at every possible oportunity.

sunny,.
For you information,
I only build/supply electronics, I do NOT map or build engines and this IS stated on my website. I have never claimed otherwise.
FACT: Cars were going fast way before ecu's were even invented and a car
does not go faster just because it has a particular ecu brand fitted.

Thanks for the info but please this is not what I asked for.
I advise reading the thread title again.

Mark,
The original topic of this thread was a genuine question and was NOT
intended to insult/slander/belittle anyones company or acheivments.
I have never anywhere said a bad thing about MAD or yourself and am disapointed you think so.
If this has caused offence to you then I do appologise.
