Only the 2.3's were Cosworth engined,

the 2.5's were Mercedes own engines

Hi lads his gone and bought it its rust free undrneath but has a few little scab here and there. The leathers are mint and the engine is very responsive. The only mod its got is the short shift and the classic five spokes. Not bad for what he paid Ł1850 Il put some pics for you all later.

Cobblers

The 2.5 are still stamped coscast and the 2.5 evo is definitely cossie as it has development code WAC in Cosworth records. It's also fairly well detailed in 'the search for power'

Either your mates m3 was a dog or he couldn't drive. E30 m3 much better than those mercs. That's why they worth 5 times as much.

e190 cosworth were actually designed with one eye on taking it groub B rallying against the manta etc, while they were developing it, the audi quattro proved 4WD was the way forward so that part of the project was axed. if you watch the top gear episode when they look at why finnish blokes make such good racing drivers, the rally car they use for the scandinavian flick is a merc cosworth
