great....another rs500 molested by some wanna be tuner.....
wheres all the original stuff like airbox etc ?
thats not going to add to the value of this car and for sure a "tuned and modified" rs500 isnt worth that kinda money.
by the way, is this not on ebay for an eternity already ?

15K+ Super Poster!!
I seem to remember a member of this forum buying a RS500 with only 24k on the clock for Ł15k, and that one was original, no molesting of any kind.
Somehow I don't think this car is worth 30k.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
its e55 dgu
iirc it doesnt have an rs500 engine in it anymore
a very famous 500 from the early 90s, remembered for taking on superbikes in a max power feature called 'you're the best!'

Was a stunning car when Jim carter owned it from brand new, he was so particular with it back then.As you said along the line of owners after that one of them blew it up big style and was fitted with a non original engine, hence why it hasnt sold i guess. Ray sold it a year or two back for alot less than that so someone is trying to make a tidy profit

him and his father said it was a road legal rep of the btcc car which it was. they were the family who had cosworths in their living rooms etc they must of owned around 6 at one point with his, as he puts it, 'family car' being a sedate looking sapphire with 400bhp which was the dogs back then. i knew the 3rd owner i think, narinder, who had it built by carwise then when he sold it he kept the engine. i saw it in the flesh at my mates garage
