Is Microsquirt hard to sort out?
I'm a computer engineer and the old man restores classic rally cars for a living. We're fairly confident we could give this a go. Has anyone any experience of fitting a microsquirt to a zetec, and if so was it a complete nightmare and not worth the hassle, or was it fairly doo-able once you worked out the bugs?
I'm really interested in making my own loom and setting up my own kit from trigger wheels and not sure whether to just go for it or not. A lot of places are asking £1500+ to wire my engine up and map it and its scaring me a bit.
Any help appreciated.

do it ya self it easy just time consuming, when ya buy mega squirt it comes all in bits and have to build and solder the whole thing i.e ecu, 20 odd pin loom, and the immitation engine loads of fun, i helped my m8 do his and as far as i know he paid about 300 for it, and we ar fitting it to a supercharged bmw

If you can buy a ready made loom etc...it's much easier. A few extra quid is worth the hassle
Adaptronic is quite cheap too for a fully built brand name ecu.
